The club was founded in Curitiba, Paraná in May of 1996 by thirteen outstanding women from different countries, but with the same desire to expand their circle of knowledge of the country and their circle of friends. Today, the club is made up of approximately 60 members from over 24 different countries around the world. Although our resources and knowledge base have expanded over the last ten years, the aim of the club is still to provide opportunities to meet informally, exchange ideas and make new friends as well as helping newly arrived international families settle more easily in their new life. The club is open to expatriate women and their families that are new to Brazil, Brazilian women who have lived abroad for at least three years (within the last 10 years) and (English-speaking) Brazilian women whose husbands are foreigners . Through this web site, membership contact and literature, members have the opportunity to learn more about Curitiba, from necessities such as emergency medical care to fun knowledge like shopping and travel tips.
